Coco Design are an upcoming homeware brand with a background largely retail and interior design based, including a stint writing interior trend articles for a lifestyle magazine. Creativity is an integral part of who they are and this combined experience gives them a real grasp of commercial realities, as well as a gut instinct for their creative ideas.

For Coco Design, interior design is instinctively about how the design of a given space makes you feel, not just how it looks. This remains true for the homeware collections today as they strive to produce work that makes space better. This is why their work is rooted more in interior design than art; each piece is designed with an imagined space in mind.

Instead of designing the whole space, they design products that fill that space, forming it’s personality through a series of complementary pieces that sit effortlessly together. For example, the Boulevard canvas and rug combination is hugely popular because they transform a space instantly.

Boulevard (Grey/Multi)
Inspired by the regimental tree lined streets of Paris. Each piece is painstakingly created through a 3-stage process of sketches, hand cut stencils, then hand painted with recycled emulsions

It’s a very exciting time for the business at the moment with the Autumn/Winter collection coming out soon plus lots of new product ranges are in development, including textiles and ceramics. Coco ‘test’ each idea rigorously to make sure it is the right quality so it’s a lengthy process. New products will be launched over the next six months, significantly broadening their offering.

We think Coco Design are a business to keep your eye on.

Rack Of Lamb
A touch of quintessentially British humour. Coco Design use repetition to capture nature in a contemporary way, for a simple illustration that’s not twee but a little more graphic design in style.
